Pak Chong district is of Nakhon Rachasima province, northern of Thailand. There are two ways to get there, you can get through Bangkok to Pak Chong, another way from Cambodia-Poi Pet to Korat city then Pak Chong.

I have been to Bangkok for several times so this time decided to go via Korat city of Nakhon Rachasima. It was such as a long way to reach Pak Chong, I never had experience with this route, I asked people who lives in Korat city where to get another bus to connect to Pak Chong district.

The bus was broken in the middle of the way, we had to wait for another bus to placed us so I was delayed to Pak Chong. Pak Chong is the place where I used to dream of sunflower field that’s why I was there, also planned to celebrate new year eves 2019.

First night arrived to Pak Chong, I was craving for street foods especially grilled squid and octopus, Thailand is the food paradise with the cheaper price. I met some people from the hostel we made friends and enjoy the trip together, we had foods, drinks and listening to the live band was showed in the local night market, where is the blog of the foreigners.

Next day, I rented the motorbike and rode to Pak Chong’s sightseeing and landmarks was recommended by hostel, the people was so nice and helpful she was willing to answer all my questions and gave me some advices in Pak Chong.

First destination to biggest flower garden the bloom Khao Yai, the weather was so cold in December, I think it is best time to visit there, after finished some photos I continued trip to the Palio, Panorama farm and Primo Piazza it was almost in one place. I missed the Chok Chai farm and PB valley wine because I got lost of using map, I am not the good one when using the map sometime, when I trusted too much on google map and it always brings me to the middle of nowhere.

I finally gave up the trip around 2pm, then having special steak where the local recommended it cost 45USD (steak and green salad) anyways was not bad. I saw the police guys on the road then I tried to pretend like I am the local (Thai people) it was hard to identified between Thai and Cambodian people, I did not have the international license, that would not permit me to drive on the road, anyways they did not stop me.

The next day, early morning I was driving to the sunflower field located in Maneesorn, Pak Chong district Nakhon Rachasima, it was the huge sunflower farm I had never seen before, like the golden was blanked for the whole mountain, so stunning view from the other side.

The entrance ticket was 80B about 2.5USD, the farm made some earning from the entrance fee for people who go in and taking the pictures there, they actually grow these sunflower for the seeds and sold it to the market. I had so much feeling to this sunflower farm my dream came true, went there at the right time when the flower blossom. I will visit Pak Chong once again there are still some attractive places were not visiting yet.
