It’s never easy to be the solo traveler in the first start. It has many obstacles along the journey; you have to face with many unpredictable things but at the same time you have learnt tons of stuff too. You gain more confident, independent, self-care, self-satisfaction, knowing yourself, have the clear statement of what you want, make the great decision in rapidly, know how to protect yourself, learn how to read people, and how to enjoy with your own. Believe in me, live in the happy life and tell no one, go on the adventure and tell no one people sometime ruin the beautiful things. I used to travel with people but I never enjoy my time, I cannot sip the coffee in 3 hours, I cannot discover the place as long as I want. Most of my time is making plan for other, arrangement; adjust the schedule and cleaning the mess that people have made. There is time to be nice and it’s time to say enough is enough. Here are the things that solo traveler as me have been through.
Catch the long distance bus/train alone
The most long distance that I have been taken is about 20 hours on train. I was felt so lonely at that time, when there was no one talk to you cox of the language barrier. Only people who travel solo can relate this, but it’s not that worst. That’s what you should bring the music player, kindle and books to read that stuff can kill your boring time. You can also have a note book to write down whatever in your mind, you know how to handle it well.
Cannot share the special moments
When you see the stunning views and incredible things but you could not share to anyone. Yeah, I love solo but sometime it cracks me when I want to share the moment with someone but no one here. Life sucks!
Meal &drink
You have learnt to enjoy the meal and content the moment with yourself.
Selfie time
It will be hard when you are so bad in selfie. I hate this when it comes to be on selfie, that what I have to learn how to become the professional selfie haha……………………
Travel on your own risk
As the female solo you better learn some self-defense to prevent yourself from bad people or bad situation will put you in harm and travel insurance is must be here.
Travel won’t heal your heartbroken but it teaches you how to love again
Don’t expect traveling will heal your broken pieces but time is the best medicine. You start to know your worth, you deserve better and to love you more.
You probably get lost easily
It becomes the common for solo travelers. When you don’t really care where to go just go in every blog of the street corner to see local people living.
Make the new friends
This is the point of travel solo; you have time to make new friends as much as you want. You will meet the awesome people around the world.
Always learn something new
Solo travel teaches us a lot stuff that we never know before. Such you have learnt body language, how to cook local food, speak some of their dialogue.
You will question on yourself [what do I really want? what makes me happy? what will I live for?]
Have you ever ask these questions to yourself, I guess you did when you travel alone. And you definitely find the answer for its. If you cannot find the reason to live for then find the ones to die for.
Solo teaches you the best lesson of life
School gives you an education but travel solo teaches you the best lesson of life. You start to understand what life is; you start to disconnect from the fake and drama people. You don’t really more care whether people will stay or go, you are all fine.
Make you connect to yourself
When you are in crowd or with the group of friends, you mostly connect to those and listen to them. Solo makes you listen to your own voices.
No one recognize you
This is awesome feeling when no one can recognize who you are. Just away from the place, people who makes the noise in your life.
