This is my very first time was kicked out from the hostel immediately, unbelievable such as this thing was happened to me. It was happening on 11th May 2018, I took bus from Phnom Penh to HCMC to caught my flight to KL for the next day, I was checked in the hostel [Tu Anh 2] in Bui Vien street is the party block in HCM. I’ve invited my friend to sit down and talk at the receptionist point, suddenly the owner came and asked me to get out right now I was surprised what was wrong then?

He said I couldn’t bring the outsider people inside the hostel, did I read the hostel policies, he added, well I didn’t read the hostel policies properly just brief off only, then I tried to apologize for my mistake but his attitude toward to me was so rude, I did not understand why he was so rude like that. I knew it was my mistake not to read the hostel policies before check in but as the human being whatever mistake we still can talk in the polite way. Before he jumped and kicked me out I didn’t know what I was wrong because I think just to bring a friend to talk to I’ve done nothing wrong or illegally things, the feeling at that time was like someone smashed you on the face and didn’t know how to control the situations.

He gave me back the money to found other hostel, I grabbed my stuff and moved out to another hostel was 7.30pm, my friend is Vietnamese he also tried to explain the whole things but the owner didn’t even listen to us he was speaking in aggressive way, however I’ve done the apologize to him that was my fault did not read the policies clearly.

The conclusion and experiences here I’ve learnt, please read the hotel policies clearly before you have booking the stay, some hotel does not allow to bring outsider people in, this experience has taught me, double read not only the polices but also any agreement or contract before I make the decisions.

It was the value lesson when I was kicked out from the hostel.  Here I also have some messages to the owner [hostel] if your customer is doing wrong unintentional please talk to them nicely, don’t be so rude you make business so the clients are your partner, isn’t it?

you will spend 3 hours to find one customer but you will have lost them in just a second
