Pursat is fourth big provinces in Cambodia, is north of Battambang province, there are many ancient temples, pagoda and some waterfall. Chrok Laeang waterfall is a beautiful natural destination of many green views that can warm your eyes with green trees, and water surface. It is located in Krakor district about 73km from Pursat town, from Krakor to waterfall is more 41km. Chrok Laeang is the most attractive one of tourism sites in Pursat, to find the new experiences, it has height of 20-60 meters.

I love to spend time on road trip with my favorite people, the first start we wanted to catch the bus and travel there, I got luck one of my friends he recommended me is hard to find the transportation in Pursat, especially way to Chrok Laeang waterfall. So finally, I decided to drive my own car there in case I couldn’t find the motordube or taxi, we reached to Krakor district where is left turn then we will see the sign of waterfall get in the way 41km more to reached the waterfall, if you catch the bus they will stop you at Pursat town first then you have to take motordube or other transport get back to Chrok Laeang. Lucky me that I made the right decision to take the own car, road is still under-construction, covered by gravel but it’s fine to drive.

From Krakor to Chrok Laeang fall you can also enjoy the rice paddy on the both sides, a bit scary because we didn’t see anyone traveling there, about 10km passed we’ve just seen the villagers, we finally made it to the fall, paid 1.25USD for the entrance fee. The foods were served on site closer to waterfall, so at the same time you can enjoy the sound crash of water flow and your delicious foods, buffalo jerky, roasted chicken, also other food orders the sellers can make it for you. The price is cheaper than Phnom Penh, it will be awesome for people who like hiking about 15 minutes to the 60 meters waterfall, but I didn’t make it happen because I was completely drunk after some beers.

Hopefully, the road construction will be finished in the next coming years soon, and the transportation probably widely using there. The water is freezing I caught cold after bathing, so enjoy waterfall on your own risk. After waterfall, we headed to Pursat town where we stayed in KM hotel is one of the best with a cozy stay and big swimming pool where you can chill with beers on pool, but seems quiet when the night comes.

You can take bus to town then renting the taxi from town to Chrok Laeang fall, or share rental with another tourist. Beside the Chrok Laeang fall, Oknha Klang Moeung is the must see historic site, located just outside the Pursat city. The guide there will tell about this Hero Klang Moeung how he has sacrifices for king and country.

-Bus fee from PP-Pursat is about 12USD (round ways) you can book online through Camboticket.

-Taxi or Motordube from Pursat city to Krakor district-Chrok Laeang waterfall (114km) is approximately 25USD for round journey.

-KM hotel cost 29USD per night for triple room, with the standard room is cost 15USD.
