Bangkok is the tourist and shopping spot. I have written about where to go, what to do but it didn’t detail. Here such as the tips for you guys in case you don’t know where to spend your money. I won’t write about the fancy or high-class shopping mall such: Central world, Siam paragon, I just pick some of affordable malls only.

Bangkok is the big city there are many shopping malls, pubs, and the night life you guys probably know how crazy it is………. I have been to BKK almost the time, I would like to share you guys my favorite shopping malls and affordable.

#1-Chaktuchak local market

Chaktuchak is the weekend market it opens only Saturday and Sunday. There are a lot of stuff to sell for local and tourist. Such as: Clothes, Shoes, art &gallery, souvenirs, handicrafts, flourish and food & drink Absolutely, road keeps busy with tons of people shopping, of course you can do bargain at there. Sometimes they do some shows from the university students to raise money for poverty kids and social charity activities. You can reach Chaktuchak by [BTS] Sky train it has shown on the map much easier to figure out the location. Wear light clothing it is so hot and watch out for belonging stuff avoid from pickpocket. When you stop by the Mo Chit station there is the Chaktuchak’s park is standing next to there, [Green Park] you can chill out. Don’t miss it you will not be disappointed!

#2-Pratunam local market

Pratunam is the huge local market and located in the center of town. There are a lot of Cambodian people do shopping for their business. Some of Thai vendors can speak Cambodian [Khmer] it is pretty easier for us as [Cambodian] if you don’t speak Thai. Pratunam is the multi-nationalities shopping place, where you can see western, European, Asia, Chinese, and mostly Indian people cox the India square mall is just one step way. I couldn’t count how many stuff they sell in this market, it’s huge and mostly fixed price on selling that you can see 100B about [3USD] it is so cheap already. For like 3 T-shirts costs 100B where I can get just one shirt in Cambodia for 3USD, that what people buys a lot and sells back in Cambodia. Street food, ASEAN cuisine, Indian food and beverages is serving in anywhere in the market. Most of my money was burnt here, how can you stop from shopping and eating it is so cheap and delicious. To get around there with BTS, Shuttle bus, Taxi and Tuk Tuk since everyone in BKK knows it well [Pratunam market] Oop the alcohols is no more serving from 12am please keep that in mind. I never dull in walking around, sampling the ethnic foods and drinking beer.

#3-Big C

Big C is located in downtown about 15 walk from Pratunam. Big C mart is the popular one for local and tourist where it sells cosmetic products, lotions, toys, clothes, souvenirs, kids supplies, art &gallery, food and beverage with reasonable price and quality. The shampoo, lotion and shower liquid which import from Thailand to Cambodia not the same quality as I have bought in Big C mart. Most of Cambodian people even me travel to BKK to buy those stuff for daily using.

#4-MBK

MBK is located at National stadium station quite far from town; you have to take about 40 minutes to get there by BTS. It sells many kinds of stuff and especially, the electronic. I remembered I was looking for the LED wooden clock there is nowhere sell it only can find at MBK. This market quite big, it is easy to get lost the gate and exit way.

#5-Platinum

Platinum is 5 minutes walking from Pratunam market, It is full of the fashion clothes, shoes and bags for the young generation and fashion people. It’s fashionable and affordable only in the Platinum market.

#6-China town

China town stays pretty far from center you have to take taxi about 30 minutes and catch the boat to there. It sells mostly Chinese products and Chinese traditional medicines. There are Cantonese, Hokkien, Chaozhou and Thai people. They speak their own dialogue but Mandarin and Thai is using widely in China town.
