Even it was just a quick trip, but I did enjoy the night there, Melaka is such as the sister of Penang. We rode from KL about more than 2 hours on car, when I first arrived to Melaka made me feel of Penang, street full of mural painting, colorful of lighting. We were sneaking to some sightseeing in Melaka such, sand dune, mural painting, riverside, local market and some historic sites of Melaka.

Melaka-Sand dune

Sand dune is one of attractive site for both tourist and local, not that big like the real dune but it is manmade. People love to capture pictures and enjoy the sunset there, it’s probably the best spot to see sunset from the dune, we had to walk a little bit then we could see the sea from the top of sand dune. People are gathering enjoying their selfie, I got some too…. Spent half an hour to breath out then we headed to the town to find food when the sun went down, many Chinese people are living and doing the business there, it is a version of Chinatown too. It has the music live band along the Jonker Walk street.

Local market

If you speak Mandarin or Cantonese is much more better to communicate with them, anyways Malaysian-Chinese do speak English as well. So, you won’t have the trouble there, the whole street block of foods and drinks, smell was so good I was really enjoyed trying every taste, we got the fake tattoo, (printing stickers) I saw many people was lined up for.

Historic sites-Church of Melaka

Then, we moved to Melaka church since 1758, with the red nice architect shining on. A lot of people were standing in front of the church for photos, if you have noticed you will see colorful of bikes with brighten designed make you feel like in Disneyland, Mickey mouse, Hello kitty, Piggy and so many cartoon stylists.

Mural painting

First seeing the painting it’s automatically remind me about Penang’s mural painting how it nice with wonderful artists. Mural painting is the most important site that people come to visit Melaka, later we swung around the river seeing the views of the night, stayed there for a while you can also pay for the boat and ride along the river.

I hope to visit Melaka again in someday. So, if you have a rush time you still can make a quick trip to Melaka.
